Two great artists in a single concert

The guitar of Pablo Sainz-Villegas and voice of soprano Marina Monzó pay tribute to the best of Spanish music with pieces by Granados, Falla, Turina and Federico García Lorca. Madrigales and Romanzas.

Pablo Sainz-Villegas is considered one of the most important guitarists in the world, “of virtuosic playing characterized by irresistible exuberance” according to The New York Times. An heir to the leading maestros of the Spanish guitar, he has become an international reference of our culture and one of its best ambassadors. He holds 30 international awards and is doctor honoris causa from the University of La Rioja, the region where he was born. He lives in the United States but never hesitates coming to Spain to perform, as in this concert in a unforgettable duo of voice. Undoubtedly it will be one of the marvellous moments of a season which promises to be legendary.

Soprano Marina Monzó is an acclaimed interpreter of the Bel canto repertory, with a vocal dexterity that has allowed to take on operas requiring the most technical expertise. She is also a trained flautist. Her performances have taken her to the stages of the Teatro Real of Madrid, San Carlo of Naples as well as Munich, Berlin and Oman. An irrepressible career for a voice that approaches each and every concert or recital as an opportunity to learn and evolve. In 2022 she was awarded the Young Singer by Ópera XXI and Young artist by Ópera Actual.
