Pérez Cruz and Falú, or the universal language of beauty
In 2022, acclaimed Sílvia Pérez Cruz heard Tucuman musician Juan Falú in a café in Madrid. And she stood up and joined him. From that moment, the partnership Pérez Cruz-Falú share their magic and the stage in a fusion that crosses the Atlantic and transforms music into a back and forth, never ending conversation.
The Catalonian Singer and composer, recipient of the Spanish National Prize for Contemporary Music in 2022, followed in the footsteps of her parents from an early age. From her youth, she displayed a stunning personality that adopts sounds and melodies from around the world. This, without abandoning her flamenco roots that are so identifiable and intrinsically hers. With a unique style, she has taken the risk with everything and everyone: shows with Rocío Molina, duos with Drexler, Gino Paoli, Natalia Lafourcade, Joan Manuel Serrat, Pedro Guerra or Joaquín Sabina. Always herself and always blending with others. Always unique.
Juan Falú, an Argentinian classical guitarist of Syrian descent, belongs to a family of artists who suffered under General Videla’s dictatorship during the 70s. Falú is the director of “Guitars of the World”, a festival which brings together guitarists of different styles and countries.
