Since the beginning, the consortium of the Teatro de la Maestranza y Salas del Arenal de Sevilla has been a partnership between the Junta de Andalucía, Diputación Provincial de Sevilla and the City Hall of Sevilla. As established by its statutes, a corporation was set up for the managing and use of the Teatro de la Maestranza (Teatro de la Maestranza y Salas del Arenal de Sevilla, S.A.).

Once the corporation was constituted in 1996, the Ministry of Culture joined the consortium of the theatre. The presidency of the consortium is renewed on a two year rotation between the four administrations.

The public company “Teatro de la Maestranza y Salas del Arenal de Sevilla” is composed of the Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación Provincial de Sevilla and the City Hall of Sevilla. It was constituted on December 27, 1993, initiating its activity on March 1, 1995. The President of the Advisory Council is renewed on a two year rotation between the three administrations.

The Director General of the Teatro de la Maestranza y Salas del Arenal de Sevilla is present at the meetings of the Consortium and the Company, with the right to express an opinion but without a vote.
