The charisma of Trifonov

“The future has many names; for the weak it means the unattainable. For the fearful, the unknown. And for the courageous, the opportunity”. This phrase by the genius Piotr Ilich Chaikovski referring to his idea of musical composition perfectly defines pianist Daniil Trifonov, one of the greatest international soloists on stage. He comes to Seville for a concert dedicated to the Russian composer, Chopin and Barber.

The charisma and fearlessness of Daniil Trifonov has led him to all types of repertory and to perform his own compositions. A risk which was awarded with, among others, a Grammy prize. When he premiered his own Concerto for piano in 2013, the Cleveland Plain Dealer was ecstatic: “Even having seen it, one cannot quite believe it”. Displaying passion and tenderness, in the words of the most renowned pianist Martha Argerich “I have never heard anything like that”.

Diabolical and celestial. Unique. Each concert is a landmark. Each performance is legendary in a season of legends. Brilliant and a perfectionist. Virtuoso and courageous.

A presence which will not pass us by unnoticed.
