In search of Lost Beauty

In this new season, Rasgando el Silencio returns and returns us to a place where countless women composers should never have been left behind. Instead, they were forgotten and erased from the “official” History of Music.

The female voice is the main protagonist of this fourth series at the Maestranza. These three concerts are a musical journey in search of a beauty which was hidden from us for decades. These composers were not treated fairly, but they never gave up: they changed history. 12 new composers come to this series for the first time to join familiar names for our audience… Amy Beach, Mel Bonis, Cécile Chaminade, Rebecca Clarke or Madeleine Dring.

All the programming in the Sala Manuel García is made possible thanks to the support of the Fundación Banco Sabadell.
