2004-2005

Without doubt it is the variety of shows that characterizes this season: Madama Butterfly, the Spanish National Ballet, chamber operas such as Opera Minute, or The Little Sweep by Benjamin Britten for students with an in-house production; the zarzuela El asombro de Damasco (The Wonder of Damascus) by Pablo Luna, a series of concerts as a tribute to Manuel García or voices like Miguel Ríos.

2003-2004

Faust with María Bayo, El elixir d’amore with Mariella Devia, Macbeth with Violeta Urmana or a recital by soprano Ainhoa Arteta, these acclaimed female voices are part of the season which includes orchestral concerts by the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra (ROSS). A combination of shows with a high level of performers.

2002-2003

The exhibition to commemorate its first ten years “El Teatro de la Maestranza, más de diez años”, opens with photographs of its construction, the logo designed by Juan Suárez and a book of autographs. There is also the score of “Las campanillas” by composer Manuel Castillo, which is the music we hear throughout the theatre that announces the beginning of a show or the end of intermission.

2001-2002

We continue to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the theatre by publishing a book of recollections, with contributions from Jacobo Cortines, Andrés Moreno Mengíbar, Aurelio del Pozo, Ramón Serrera, and many of the artists who graced the stage during this decade.

2000-2001

This season we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Teatro de la Maestranza and the Royal Symphony Seville Orchestra (ROSS). Although ten years seems like a short time in the life of a theatre, this programme is a clear indication of how the first decade of the theatre has made it into the cultural reference point of Seville.
