A season for everyone, in a theatre for everybody, with three guiding principles: the return to the Maestranza of the legendary Sevillian figure, Don Giovanni, in a revival of our house production; the presentation of the “Programa Mil x1.000” with a wide range of benefits for the most committed supporters of the theatre; and the launching of a theatre tour “Música y Ópera tras el telón” (Music and Opera behind the Curtain).

A season which celebrates a musical treasure: The Twilight of the Gods which is performed for the first time in Seville. Although it is part of The Ring, it is also an extraordinary opera on its own and is the culmination of the work of four years in our theatre.

For this season, the theatre continues the Ring Cycle with Siegfried, the zarzuela El gato montés (The Wild Cat) by Manuel Penella or La princesa de Navarra (The Princess of Navarra) with the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, as a tribute by the theatre to the scenic arts of our patrimony.

The Teatro de la Maestranza engages the interest of the most expert and music-loving audience anew: the premiere of Die Walküre and a revival of one of its most successful productions, The Marriage of Figaro.

We begin an ambitious journey: Wagner’s Ring cycle. Das Rheingold is a celebration of the maturity and artistic excellence of the Maestranza. More than an artistic project, the Tetralogy is an intellectual and cultural obligation which we undertake with conviction, in an exceptional setting: the 20th Anniversary of the theatre and the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra (ROSS).
